Review: Sidney, Stella and the Moon by Emma Yarlett

  • Hardcover: 32 pages

The blurb
Twins Sidney and Stella do everything together, everything except share. And that's how they end up with a moon-sized problem......

This hardback picture book is beautifully illustrated with full-page pictures following the story of twins Sidney and Stella.  Their inability to be able to share leads to a little accident which leads them to believe they had broken the moon. They have to mend their ways and find a solution to put the moon back in the sky.

A tale with a moral about not sharing and also a great way to introduce young readers into the discussion about reality and what is imagination.  I had a discussion with AJ about whether the children could actually make the moon disappear and what did he think had actually happened to the moon.

5 out of 5 for us!

I shall be seeking out Templar's 'Ology' series for when AJ is a little older

Thank you to Templar Publishing for a review copy.
